A writer, a fact-checker and an update editor, and an honest statement of what our team is not.
Who does what
The desk is a small independent team. We describe roles rather than parade credentials, because we would rather be precise than impressive.
- Formulation writer. Drafts each page from the label, the maker's policy pages and the research, and does the arithmetic: scoop weights, Daily Value percentages, cost per day.
- Fact-check reader. Re-checks every number against its source and every claim against its citation before a page goes live, and verifies each PubMed reference against the database record.
- Update editor. Re-reads the maker's prices and policies on a schedule and dates every change.
No medical reviewer, stated plainly
There is no physician or pharmacist on staff, and no page here claims to have been "medically reviewed". Our pages explain published research in plain language and send readers to their own clinicians for decisions about health and medicines.
